Q: I collect fireworks.  Can you sell me really old fireworks? 

A: No.  We do not have really old fireworks. 

Q: Do you have a product list?
A: Most of our items are listed on our site.

Q: Do you sell bottle rockets?
A: North Dakota law prohibits the sale of bottle rockets.  We do sell Sky rockets.

Q: I like to get deals. Some places offer a discount all season long.  Do you do this?
A: No, we do not.  This is not really a discount, but instead is designed to get you to think it is a deal. Think of it like this.  If you were told you could purchase a gumball for $20, but today you only had to pay a nickel for it, would it be a deal?  Are you REALLY saving over $19 on that gumball even if the price of that gumball is a nickel or less elsewhere?  The next time you think you got a "great deal" at a sale that lasts all season long you might want to do yourself a favor and check the "discounted" price you paid, and compare it to what you could have paid with us.  You will probably be pleasantly surprised at what we can do for you.

Q: What is the "Fireworks season"?
A: In North Dakota, fireworks can be sold between June 27 and July 5 each year.  That is when we are open for retail business. Note that while there is also a winter season, we have chosen to not operate during that time.  This may change in the future.

Q: I know some friends who have purchased fireworks off season in North Dakota before.  Why can't I buy from you off season?
 A: Some retailers are also wholesalers of fireworks.  The law allows wholesalers to sell fireworks off season to anyone who can prove that they are not a North Dakota resident.  We are not a wholesaler, therefore we can only sell during the fireworks season.

Q: Can I get M80's, cherry bombs, and silver salutes?
A: NO! These are illegal in all 50 states, and have been since 1966.

Q: I know a guy who got some m80's several years ago.  They must have been legal then, right?
A: If M80's, cherry bombs, or silver salutes were purchased recently, then they are either old stock, illegally imported, or home made.  Either way, they are very dangerous, and are illegal.

Q: What is a fireworks club?  Can I join?
A: A fireworks club is a group of people with a common interest in fireworks that get together with others who share that interest. Clubs are open to just about anybody who has an interest in fireworks,  You do not have to be in the fireworks business to join.  Some clubs will do a background check, so if you have a criminal record, you might not be able to join.

Q: What do you do at a fireworks club event?
A: Get together with old and new friends, discuss fireworks, learn about fireworks, and shoot some fireworks. It's a great social event for anyone who loves fireworks.

Q: What would be a good fireworks club to join?
A: There is a club in Wisconsin called Wisconsin Pyrotechnic Arts Guild, online at www.wpag.us, and there is an international club called Pyrotechnic Guild International, online at www.pgi.org.  We are members of both of these clubs. Check out our listing of fireworks clubs for one near you.

Q: Do you sell fireworks T-shirts?
A: No.  Unfortunately we do not.

Q: What is the best firework?
A: That all depends on a person's personal taste.  Some like lots of color, some like lots of noise. Some have a favorite color or effect.  Stop by and we will help you get the best fireworks for you.

Q: What about quality?  Do you stand by your products?
A: Yes!  If you are not happy with a product you got from us, come talk to us.  We will do our best to make it right. And if you are happy with your purchases, tell us that too.  We love to hear from our customers.

Q: I have a question about a firework that I bought somewhere else, but I can't remember where I got it.  Can you help me?
A: Yes!  Our staff is very knowledgeable about fireworks of all types. We will do our best to let you know how to use it, what it does, or anything else you want to know about any firework item.  It does not matter if if came from us or not.

Q: I have been to other fireworks stores that have charged extra for punk.  Do you charge extra for punk?
A: No!  You get jumbo punks free with every purchase.

Q: I have heard about bottle rocket wars and roman candle wars.  What is that?
A: This involves a group of people who shoot fireworks at each other.  This is a very dangerous activity to be involved in.  It is activities like this that cause many fireworks injuries, and ultimately cause stricter laws to be enacted to protect people from themselves, such as the bottle rocket ban.

Q: Why was Blu Fireworks started?
A: We love fireworks, and we did not like the high prices that were being charged.  We figured that we could do it better, help to educate the fireworks public,  and help to drive the prices down for the customer.  We think that we have done that.

Q: What does blu stand for in blu fireworks?
A: It comes from combining our names (Brent and Luann), and we happen to like blue fireworks.

Q: Can you ship fireworks to me?  I live in _______ state/province.
A: No.  We are unable to ship fireworks at this time.  You must stop by our store between June 27 and July 5 to get fireworks from us.

Q: Do you honor competitors coupons?
A:Yes!  If you bring in a competitors coupon, we will match it if we can.

Q: What payment forms do you accept?
A: We take Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Cash, or Debit card.  We will take local checks only.

Q: How do you handle theft of product?
A: We have security cameras to protect against this.  Any theft that is caught will be prosecuted.

Q: I would like to make a large purchase.  How can I do that?
A: To ensure the best availability of product, contact us ahead of time to ensure we have the product you are looking for.  Otherwise, just stop on out and we will set you up with what you need.

Q: Do you do shows?
A: As much as we would like to do a show for you, we have chosen to concentrate our efforts on our retail business, and helping you to put together your own show.

Q: Are you open for the winter season?
A: Not at this time.  This may change in the future.
